I am sure other people have received this email as well, but for people who did not.

We recently updated our website with the following information regarding ITLS:
International Trauma Life Support

"ITLS" certificate: ITLS certificate must be valid for 24 months from your application date. Applicants who do not meet the 24 month margin will be given the opportunity to re-certify as follows; if your ITLS expires on or before Dec 31 2017, you must provide proof of registration as part of your application.

For those applicants whose ITLS expires after Dec 31 2017* you will be required to provide proof of registration prior to the interview portion of this process.

If your ITLS expires after Dec 31, 2017 you do not need to provide proof of registration in an ITLS course at the time of application. A copy of your current ITLS certification will suffice for your application. Please keep in mind though that you will be required to provide proof of registration in a new ITLS course prior to the interview portion of this process.

Anyone received confirmation in regards to their application getting accepted? Usually by now we would know the status of our app through the city portal

I haven't heard anything like that. I heard there was 1163 applicants and only 600 got invited to the aptitude test on the 29th.

That's probably the difference. They said 1200 we're writing, I'm sure they meant applied. I couldn't see that many writing either.

Probably splitting groups up due to the sheer volume of applicants.

As far as I know as long as you meet the application requirements you get to write the aptitude. So you could have over 1,000 guys/gals writing easy.

What did you guy say think of that test? The test itself wasn't that tough but I found there wasn't nearly enough time..

I actually found that test to be the hardest one of them yet. I don't know if it was because there seemed to be more math questions or what but I finished with like 5-10 unanswered questions that I had to guess on. I'm not feeling overally confident. But I know it's on a curve and so maybe a low mark will still make us squeeze in. Now the waiting game starts
