I agree with Fire888, the content itself was not so hard. But the time limit was what made it more difficult in my opinion.

From everyone I talked to, most people had more trouble than last year. You could see this just by the amount of people left when the time was up compared to last year.
Good luck to all!

I was supposed to but unfortunately I got hurt pretty bad and wasn't able to make it into class. I have learned from the experience and ready to move forward and hope this is my year.

For those who haven't received an email yet. I checked my profile on the Edmonton taleo site. And it says that I passed the aptitude test, updated may 18. But haven't received an email.

If you can't wait for an email maybe check that.

I hear there is going to be some changes to the fitness test this year. Anyone else hear that too?

If you go to the fitness test website you can see the changes. The changes I see are:
1. The vehicle extrication station is first not last
2. The fire hose has a bigger diameter
3. The dummy weighs more and is now dragged in a serpentine path
4. Some of time limits have been adjusted slightly but nothing too drastic

With how few interview spots there are it seems that they are taking on a lot less this year. Anyone hear anything regarding that?

Have interview invites all ready gone out?

I know that all of the fitness testing was done in June this year. Which means there could have only been a max of 200ish fitness tests. If you factor in a handful of people who fail/don't show up (yes, the staff at the fitness test told me there had been some no shows) plus the guys who are in the fall recruit class that will be withdrawing from this recruitment, the numbers are looking pretty low to begin with. I would imagine that it would be in their best interest to just interview everyone but maybe they have their own agenda.
