First of all if there is a VFD in your area join! That will give you an idea of the fire service is about and will give you some training. Take your FF level 1 and 2, have a positive attitude, never give up, talk to the local fire dept. if possible and go for ride alongs if allowed. Hope that helps ...

Not sure as I don't work for Nanaimo Fire. I just thought I would send out best wishes to all of those who have applied. I do work in Nanaimo as a Paramedic and I can say Nanaimo has a great bunch of guys/girls on the dept.
