We had to purchase a new pair of boots for a member because he was having issues with the opening size on his rubber boots. We went with a pair of leather Fire Dex boots through Wholesale Fire, they recommended them as they had the largest opening, and the member requiring them has been happy. Can't...

5 minutes safety talks

Any other departments do a quick 5 minute safety talk each shift? If so, what are some of the subjects that get talked about? We usually cover slips trips and falls, exposure risks, etc but just looking for some other ideas to maybe help keep things fresh for my crew. Any help is appreciated

ok, that makes sense, I was thinking if we could get a $1000 saw, then a $400 chain we still come in a grand short of a cutters edge but maybe that is not going to be the answer

Cutters edge bullet chain

Anybody use a bullet chain on a saw other than the cutters edge? We have a 65cc husky with 16 inch bar we are wondering about changing over. Any input is appreciated!

I think that pretty much all departments are open to hiring women, any more it's not uncommon, just don't expect to get by bring held to a lower standard physically. Every department just wants the best possible people on the floor whether they are a man or a woman.
