Fire Inspector Courses?

Any FPO or Students out there ever take an Investigator Note Taking Course? Just looking to build my resume over the next few years.

How did the exam go? where did you take it?

I've heard that Toronto Fire is going to make NFPA 1035 a Preferred Qualification when applying to Operations.

Barrie is apparently having their entire Department Trained to NFPA 1035.

FPO career prep guide

I used the 1st edition 2014. Had most of the TFS Entry Exam questions (50+ questions) and 6 of the 9 Interview questions I was asked was in the guide...so it worked for me :)

If you are planning on working in Texas its perfect. If you want to work in Ontario, BC, etc. the 1031 Cert from Training Division isn't worth a hill of beans. FF95 is right. The Ontario Fire Marshal's Office Officially adopted NFPA Professional Qualification Standards in April 2014. Any cert/course you get should be IFSAC or ProBoard Accredited if you want it to hold any weight. All Municipalities in Ontario require Pre-Service Ontario Cert or NFPA 1001 C...
