Not withstanding the previous reply, both Hamilton and Burlington have volunteer firefighter opportunities, so it depends on your big plans for "Toronto".

I found the curriculum in Mechanical Engineering Technology studies to be a natural fit and invaluable in the transition to the firefighting world.
