Postby bfd39 » Fri Jun 27, 2003 6:51 pm

Hey all;
Just wanted to introduce myself, Jamie Cochrane from Bridgewater, Nova Scotia. I have been involved in the volunteer fire service for just under 10 years as well I am a Primary Care Paramedic with Emergency Health Services Nova Scotia. Our full volunteer fire department in Bridgewater consists of 1 chief, 1 deputy, 5 capt, 5 Luiet., with an active membership of 55. We run with 1 heavy rescue, 3 engines, 1 ladder and a utility van. From Dec 01 to Nov 02 we responded to around 160 calls. The BFD belongs to the Shore Mutual Aid and Lunenburg Regional Fire/Emergency Services Associations and are quite active in supporting the smaller departments with mutual aid. BFD only covers the Town Of Bridgewater, with estimated 7000 persons.
Please feel free to check out more of our dept. at
Yours truly in emergency services
