Greetings and Question about Partners

Postby islander » Tue Aug 05, 2003 8:14 pm

I'm the significant other of a volly firefighter and first responder.
I'm curious how other members feel about having family members in the group. Being new to our department I haven't made what I'd call close friends yet.

Our relationship is also rather new and recently he got called up to help with the fires in BC's interior. I have tons of confidence in the men he went up with and I don't feel "worried" about him, but, I do find myself distracted.

I think it would be great to have a place for partners to ask questions, share concerns, talk about how we deal with the stresses our mates are dealing with, what to say to the kids when one of their parents is hurt on the job. Am I barking up the wrong tree here? Might there be room for a partner's forum? :)

All the best! You folks are awesome!

Hi there,
sounds like a great idea... I have added the forum Spouse and Significant Other forum under Health and Lifestyle.
