CPAT = less weight, longer time, can't hold railing

York = more weight, go as fast as you want, can hold railing

Honestly they are both extremely easy. No real preference.

Agree on all points.

The York may be ever so marginally harder.

York would be a tich harder, although still no problems. A guy that was in my group wasn't able to complete it one time, but they gave him a chance to complete it again after all the events, and somehow he was able to do it, so good for him. All the CPAT one does is get your heart pumping a little faster, that's about it.

i have done both and let me tell you the york is MUCH harder they make you do it right after you do your v02 max testing so makes it tought and its alot of weight up and down 6 flights but very doable if you train .we had to wear vest ankle weights and carry a 80 pound hose pack 130 lb total if i remember.cpat is longer endurance and 75 lbs i think.
