So I have reserved a Vo2 Max testing at a local sports place to see where I stand before the official York test and I want to give them the exact protocol that York uses for my testing to get a benchmark idea.

Here is the protocol I understand it from the previous post

First run at zero incline until Max speed is reached , I would imagine it would be between seven and 8 mph for most people

Two minute break

And so forth?

Also what do you do during the two minute break are you walking on the treadmill or stop altogether
5 min @ 3.5 mph 4% for 5 min (warm up)
2 min @ 5 mph 4%
2 min @ 6 mph 4%
2 min @ 7 mph 4%
2 min @ 8 mph 4%
2 min @ 8 mph 6%
2 min @ 8 mph 8%
2 min @ 8 mph 10%
2 min @ 8 mph 12%
2 min @ 8 mph 14% then walk to recover as long as required.

Again, they will set the speed they think works best for you. You run through the stages until you can't run any longer. Simply hop off to the side rails and they will encourage you to walk at the warm up stage for 2 minutes. Then ramp back up to same speed and possible same incline r increase the incline by 2% for another stage. Try to last for as long as possible before taking a break. When you think you can't do ask if you have maxed out and try will say either yes you have or no they think you could increase with another stage.

At York they use nose plugs and will hand you the mouthpiece/tube at about 1minute of running into that stage. When they take their reading they will reset it again and take another reading. They will remove it until about a minute into the next stage and repeat.

You have to hold the tube in your hand while running. Try to maintain an air tight seal around the mouth piece as any air that escapes is air not going into the canister for testing.

Generally all the proctors are good and encourage you to push hard.

Does anyone know what the mark required was to pass the CPS/ OS Tests? Is there any way of obtaining a mark?

In the past you could contact Gledhill Shaw and request a breakdown of the test

it did cost you however.

i was told by HR that it was a 75% pass which seems odd with such a small number of people who passed it.
