Fire Services I work for Rescue 7 and we offer EMR and SFA CPR level C HCP AED and tons more and have a great training facility that can accommodate 40 ppl at any given time and course prices are cheaper the larger the group of participants. That's funny. If you look on the checklist it says standard first aid and HCP. So, he might want to redo the checklist.
There exist several levels of CPR training. In connection with the Operations Firefighter recruitment and selection process, Toronto Fire Services requires a Basic Life Support (BLS) for Emergency Medical Responder (EMR) certificate, as defined by the Heart and Stroke Foundation of Canada. This course is offered by many First Aid and CPR training organizations, including many of the First Aid Trainers approved by WSIB.
Your EMR level CPR certificate must be valid and current at the time of application submission."
No you do not need any other additional first aid. EMR is now the minimum! Spoke to HR via email. Only question that was not answered was if it has to be still valid within 1 year and stay that way through the process?.
