I received an invite today in the mail also.

Best of luck all that have the chance to write.

I looked back at past years hiring threads and couldn't find any numbers for applicants or how many took the test. I did come across in past years they had required an 85% on the CPS to move on in the process. Don't know if that is still the case but good to know and prepare for, for all of us studying.

Has anyone written the OS-Fire Fighting Assessment test before? I read the overview of it on Gledhill-Shaw's website but can anyone give any additional information?

It's pretty well exactly what it says. They'll give you a few different scenarios and a list of steps and then ask you what steps you would take and in what order you would take them if you found yourself in that situation. There's some personality type questions that you really just have to answer honestly, a few aptitude type questions...it's pretty standard.

you can sign up for some practice ones at firefighterprep.com. They also have practice CPS tests. I find it helpful. I've written Gledhill-Shaw three times this year so far and passed each time. I'm about to write a 4th in september and now for Sarnia as well.

I called HR yesterday to confirm my email was correct... They confirmed the link will be sent out this afternoon.
