Sad to see that they finally dropped the FF1 & 2 requirement but good luck to all that apply- it seems to be a top notch agency

I'm a little confused about the post secondary credits, what else constitutes as post secondary credits?

With regards to the Personal History Statement? Are they doing a lie detector test like they do in Calgary?

The FF 1&2 prerequisite has been dropped for more than a few years already.

Don't kid yourselves about the FF1&2.....you will need it! Its all about quotas. Best of luck to everyone.

JC1987, Post Secondary credits mean courses you took at university and/or college, if you only took your firefighter 2, you only have 20 credits and not the required 30.

Pursuingthedream I don't think VFRS does a lie detector test like calgary, however I wouldnt be surprised if they asked some follow up questions about your personal history statement in the interview stage to weed out any lies/discrepancies.

Cliff-I haven't heard how many they are looking at picking up, but am very curious myself.
