The Chief needs to go through 700+ resumes plus perform other duties, it take a lot of time... I would expect calls to go out earliest 1-2 weeks. So the actual interview sessions will not be conducted until 2+ weeks after you get notified.

Someone asked something about my source? Does it really matter... I'm not coming on here to blow smoke or give misinformation, just trying to ease your nerves... we've all been there
It would be HR weeding the resumes.

Really the chief actually looks at the resumes? That's quite the commitment on his part. Any idea what he would be looking for in a candidate?

Does anyone know the approximate timeline following the call for interview? ie:

Call --> Interview
Interview --> York/Police Check

Thanks

So résume means nothing ?
Example someone straight outta high school gets a 90 and has zero schooling, no certs etc vs someone who gets an 80 with full schooling, experience etc?

What he meant is that the chief goes through all the resumes and chooses who he wants for interviews. Instead of HR doing it then telling him who he is interviewing. And from what I have heard, vaughan runs two interviews. Not sure if York will be after the first or second.

Correct.
When I say Chief, without being specific it could also mean Deputy Chief (which also doesn't mean a "he") ... If your interested in the department you should probably use what I'm saying to do some research on who is reviewing your resumes to see what their vision for the department and see how you fit into that...

HR is present in the interview process, ensures it's a fair process and helps organize.

Just look @ the package that Vaughan had on their website for all questions regarding the process. It's all accurate...
1st interview
2nd interview
CJO - based on York/ VSC /etc...
