"Must possess a current Standard First Aid certificate (minimum) or equivalent, and be current throughout the recruitment process".

If someone could provide me with a little bit of clarification about the above statement. I currently was going to renew both my First aid/cpr this weekend. Would that mean I'm out of the running because I'm not currently in possession of up-to-date certs? Or as long as I'm certified by the closing date, then I'll be ok?

Thanks everyone for your input!

ok. All certs have to be kept up to date based on the closing date. I believe it is on OS test, interview, skills assessment, second interview, short list. That is just based on word of mouth.

You are re-certifying this week end. Apply next week and you are fine. The statement is simply a way to ensure you don't have a card that expires in a month and by the time you are hired, your certification is expired.

FMB if you haven't already submitted cover letter and resume just wait till after you do your medical training this weekend to apply. If you did submit already maybe you could create a new account and resubmit your resume etc after you complete your medical training this weekend?

Where does the maxvo2 and or cpat fit in? Which provider? Probably York since mine just expired July 31st....
