im surprised to see that ITLS must be "valid for 24 months from your application date".

So, if im reading that right......if you received your ITLS prior to 2016, you had better get in a class before the application deadline or you will be deemed ineligible to move forward.

thoughts?....

It sort of makes sense, they are only valid for 36 months. This recruitment will (most likely) be for a class next spring. So they want to make sure it does not expire between now and then. And they don't want to deal with that when you are a fresh recruit?

But I am guessing as long as you have proof of a class before August 1, you will be fine.

I contacted HR regarding this as my ITLS expired may 2018 and they said I'm good to apply with my current certificate. But now I'm second guessing that

Yeah I would hate to be disqualified over something like that. Mine expires June '18. I may just do the re-cert course just in case.

Just did the recertification course just in case and received an email from HR today that you do indeed need to have an ITLS card valid for at least 24 months from the date of application. Phew

So you're saying every ITLS needs to have a minimum expiry date of March 1 2019?

That doesn't seem right at all.. the things are only good for 36 months. Which means you literally have to re-cert every year if you don't get on that year.

Phew! Very happy I did my recert this weekend. I panicked when I saw the posting. Guessing a lot of guys won't make it in time.

Don't panic people. You just need to provide proof that you are doing a re-cert before August 1 (if yours expires before March 1 2019)
