Toronto 2019
Re: Toronto 2019
I think that's exactly what it means. Next class you and I are in along with the others who got that email. Just matter of waiting until that class...which I think is January.Medic-on-fire wrote: ↑Mon Jun 10, 2019 4:51 pm
I also just received the “you were successful but” email. Does this mean we go straight to the medical portion once they need more positions filled? And if so any idea when that might be?
So there’s a class in August, is January confirmed?

Given what the email said;
"We do not have any further information (i.e. timelines, next class date, etc) and we will contact as soon as any information becomes available."
Nothing is confirmed yet. As much as I'm happy about getting that, the positive vibes it gave off, and the high likely hood of a January class until I sign a job offer paper the search continues.

Hahaha, the not following instructions is a big one. Also I'd lay off any sups taken at least 2 weeks prior, for anyone curious. Can result in failurebigsmoke wrote: ↑Mon Jun 10, 2019 8:11 pmYes it is not uncommon for a number of applicants to fail the medical. Reasons range from high cholesterol, previous injuries, lying on the pre-screening sheet, new medical conditions discovered by the TFS Doc. example cancer. And for simply not following instructions.Blacksmoke2019 wrote: ↑Sat Jun 08, 2019 6:23 pmDo you ever hear of anyone flunking a medical ?? If so , why ?

Yes. I received an email after my interview saying I was successful however the August class was full and I would be contacted for the next recruit class. A few others had similar emails. Those applying now before the job posting closes will likely be contacted for doc review and interviews in the coming months for a supposed January class.

Is Toronto the only department where you don’t need to keep all stages of ofai current during recruitment ?

Is the Toronto class for August set now ? Has anyone received final offers ?
Re: Toronto 2019
No FO, still waiting on medical clearance
Re: Toronto 2019
I have med clearance, all references have been contacted and have scheduled dates for HR and uniform but still no FO yet....
Re: Toronto 2019
I just want to apologize ahead of this, as it isn’t what most people are looking for in this thread.
I am going to be in the August class and I am moving into the city for recruit training. I am looking for another person in the August class who would be interested in sharing a place. I have a place lined up 15 minutes from the training center.
PM if you are interested and we can chat.
