How many weeks is the training ? I hear 16 ... 13 ... etc. Can anyone confirm ?

Ever since they added the prevention portion of training it has been 16-18 weeks

It would most likely be around 16 weeks. With the inspection/prevention aspect it won't be 13.

Class started Monday, probably won't be until next month if they send more out (just a guess).

From the way they've done it in the past is they will repost the position again and majority of people will have to reapply and those who got a document request last hire but no interview will typically get an interview this round. I think that's how it works, correct me if I'm wrong.

Do you know any firefighters or have ny halls near where you live that you can ask this question? The “key words” eliminates candidates like myself a few times. Some people have paid someone for this or done their research and hope this is their chance next intake. Although we all like to help each other out, we’d be shooting ourselves in the foot if we all knew that answer, as we’d all “beat the computer”.
