I was told that this recruit class would start in the new year... maybe invites for interviews will go out in fall. Good luck all

Emails went out for written test. Does anyone know the date and time of the test? That would help me thank you.

From what I understand it is an online test and you register from the link sent in the email. I believe you get the information after registering but I don't think there is a set date to take it

This is from the fireontario website

"CITY OF HAMILTON
For those of you invited to write the Firefighter Entry Level Test. The test is completed online. You will be receiving an email within 3 business days from the National Testing Network with further instructions on how to book and complete your exam online. Please make sure to check your spam/junk/promotions folders if you do not see it in your inbox. Please allot at least 2.5 hours to complete the exam. For those with slower internet connection, it could take longer. The exam must be completed by Wednesday, September 30, 2020 . Test results will not be accepted after this date."

Seems to be the trend during these unprecedented times. It will likely be very similar to that of Cornwalls recent exam, for those that wrote. I wrote 3 of these this year and it isn't a bad process, as long as you don't encounter technical difficulties. Good luck to all.

What kind of material is on these online tests? Looks like if you are chosen to move on an aptitude test is part of the next step, so I'm assuming this initial test is different then the typical aptitude testing or it'd be pretty redundant?
