Re: Toronto 2022
That's right. Toronto Fire is not allowing any grace period this year for any OFAI certificates, and they must be valid and up-to-date for this recruitment.
We have received numerous calls at Firehouse Training, regarding certificate validity, OFAI Stage I, II & III prep courses and additional recruitment details. Email us at info@firehousetraining.ca should you be looking for any additional information for your application submission, resume or cover letter reviews and testing requirements. Thank you.

Hey Bigsmoke,
As of now I’m all valid and have applied. My stage 3 expires Feb 7th. Will I have to recert or since I’m valid at time of application that will be good enough for this recruitment?

I would Recert anyways to stay up to date. But in the job posting it says VALID at time of posting. So you’re most likely good

Re: Toronto 2022
Word of advice.. If you applied with your certifications valid then that is all you will need. Don't waste your money keeping your OFAI certifications up to date. They will only check the ones valid at the
TIME OF APPLICATION. I renewed them years ago after I applied, so when it was time to send in my OFAI Certifications for review, I sent all my renewed ones instead of my expired ones that I applied with. There was a 5 month wait between me applying and document review . I was disqualified from the recruitment instantly. So send the ones you applied with. READ EVERYTHING VERY CAREFULLY!!
Good Luck!
