If you are planning on working in Texas its perfect. If you want to work in Ontario, BC, etc. the 1031 Cert from Training Division isn't worth a hill of beans. As per the NFPA 1031 ProQual Standard "The candidate shall perform all requisite knowledge skills according to the AHJ's adopted codes" You need to take the course in the jurisdiction you want to work in because you will need to use the Ontario Fire Code, Building Code, etc. Or BC Fire Code, Building Code, etc. In Ontario you have to take 4 Courses, Legislation, Fire Code, Legal Procedures and Hazmat Awareness before being enrolled in a IFSAC Accredited 1031 Course.
Hope this helps.
