This area of the Firehall.com Forum is dedicated to those men and women that have made the ultimate sacrifice. It is here that we remember their dedication and selfless actions in the saving of others.

This section of the forum is open to all for the posting of remembrance. We pay homage to those that have fallen not only in the line of duty but to those that have dedicated their lives to one of the most honorable professions of all time, the protection of us and our neighbor.

The Canadian Fallen Firefighters Foundation is an organization that we at Firehall.com do endorse as an invaluable asset to the Fire fighting community with an outstanding agenda. We recommend to all members of Firehall.com that are interested in the building of a monument to the fallen have a look at their site.

Hey Chief , maybe you could get some pics of the National Ceremony last year and post them here. It would serve as a pictoral reminder to all who serve to never forget our fallen brothers and sisters. Thanks,BCFIRE

I hope it goes through BC,but what about Vollies? Canadian Fallen Firefighters Foundation is working on a benefit which assists all Canadian Firefighter's survivors. There are 205,000 Volunteers and 15,000 Career Firefighters in Canada. The Foundation wants a death benefit of $500,000 across the board.Career guys deserve all benefits from IAFF negotiations-no question, but when a Firefighter is killed, a families income is trashed either way.Take care,BCFIRE

Several yrs ago, our dept. sent a memorial donation to a dept., in our province, not too far away, for a LODD. The tanker driver was shot and killed as he exitted the apparutus he was driving. At this time , I can not rememebr the dept or his name. Why should a person have to die delivering water to a fire.?? !!!
