Victim removal down a ladder, out a window
Victim removal down a ladder, out a window
Some guys on the crew and I were talking scenarios and the debate came up about how the victim should be positioned for removal out a window and down the ladder
The two positions that we discussed were;
a: place the victim with their back against the wall, get under their legs with the back of their knees on your shoulders and lift up to pass to the firefighter on the ladder or;
b: place the victim with their butt and back of legs against the wall, and feet on the window sill as best as you can and either deadlift them with one rescuer, or a firefighter on either side and lift them out.
Thanks for reading.
