Firehouse Training has partnered up with the SYGNAL Simulation Hazmat Detection Software Company, to provide leading-edge training opportunities and ground-breaking practical teaching methods. This is prevalent in the areas of hazardous materials response, chemical, biological and explosive emergency operating and testing procedures. This downloadable and easy to use cloud-based platform; Hazmat and CBRNE detection simulator will transform the students’ handheld smartphone from a training distraction, into an asset during this training class.

SYGNAL Detection Systems will provide cutting-edge software application support and training evolutions during this online session, for students to use right in the comfort of their own home. This online program exceeds the qualifications for the National Fire Protection Association NFPA 1072 Standard of Responders to Hazardous Materials/Weapons of Mass Destruction Incidents Competencies for Awareness-Level Personnel.

This specialized NFPA 1072 hazardous materials training curriculum will include:

- Effects of a Chemical Spill in the Workplace or Environment
- Risk-Based Response Initiatives in Hazmat
- Chemical Detection Techniques and Tactics with SYGNAL Software
- Scene Safety and Size-Up for Hazmat and CBRNE Events
