Paramedic Fitness Testing- MB Info

Postby Kristina » Wed Feb 10, 2016 11:35 am

Hi, I just signed up for the fitness test which is required to get into the paramedic program and looking for some info. Is there a video similar to whats going to be asked from me at the testing. Or any info would help. How hard is it and what do I need to do to prepare myself. I only have 1 month until then. Thanks so much!

Are you applying to a job (like WFPS) or a school (Criti care)?

I don't know about Criti care, but the WFPS test is all laid out on their website. (http://www.winnipeg.ca/FPS/Careers/Freq ... esting.stm)

The test is taken at U of M, and the full description can be found on their website (http://umanitoba.ca/faculties/kinrec/bs ... iption.php)

(Equipment Carry, CPR Compressions, Patient Carry Simulation, Patient Transfer Simulation, etc).

Hope this helps.

If it's for CritiCare, then you do not need to pass it. It is just so that you get a baseline of where you are at as you will need to pass it in order to work for regions such as Winnipeg, Interlake, or Southern RHA.
