Hey all,

just figured id throw this out there. I am an have been a firefighter for my town/county for a bit now. Through them i got my 1001 level 1-2 and tons of experience. going to be getting the EMR course done here soon but in general wondering what else would be needed/recommended by the people who have been around for a while and where would be a good idea to look at for employment in the industrial/oilfield firefighting sector. I know its a whole different beast that the public sector but none the less i want to get working in a fire service field. So if anyone has any suggestions it'd be much appreciated!

Class 3 Q (tandem axel with airbrakes) is a big one, beyond that you'll need your oilfield tickets, H2S Alive, PST/or egso

Most companies out here mostly look for your 1001-2 and your oilfield tickets, everything else is gravy. There's not much going on out there right now though so I wouldn't bank on being too busy until oil picks back up.
