Images of 9-11 have been burned into our minds. Perhaps the most iconic image was taken at Ground Zero in which three New York City firefighters stand in the ruins of the twin towers to hoist the American flag. The ruins in the background continue to remind me of the unprecedented number of FDNY firefighters killed September 11, 2001. The three firefighters remind me of the 9-11 survivors, who have continued to this day to pay a price that is impossible to fully comprehend. Brothers and sisters of FDNY especially the Manhattan firehouse, you are always in our thoughts and prayers. Stay strong, stay brave.
