In Inuvik:
White - Chief and Deputy
Red - Capt
Blue - Lt.
Black - Safety Officer
Yellow - Firefighter

In Tsiigehtchic:
Red - Chief and Deputy
Yellow - Firefighter

However in a blowing blizard at -40 everything is white :P
They drop the ball....We get the call

Peachland Fire & Rescue

Chief/ass't Chief = White
Captian/LT = Red
Fire Fighter/Probie = Yellow
Junior Fire Fighter = Black

Plus on the side of our helmets it says in big letters what they are... except probie helmets just say fire fighter....

also we have our names on the back of the helmet

None.Anything from acting capt up are considered officers.

Captains are typically referred to as company officers D/C,P/C deputy and chief as chief officers.

Our department is pretty similar also.
White=Chief/DeputyChief
Red=Captain
Blue=Paramedic
Green=SafetyOfficer
Yellow=Firefighter

us Juniors have Black Helmets right now but our commitee is working on getting Yellow helmets with Junior written on the sides of them. (Plus our Black helmets are definetly too old)
